In addition to my photo reporter job, I've been organizing for 3 years now a big Festival dedicated to open canoeing. The Open Canoe Festival is back in 2012 (April 6/7/8) with about 350 paddlers expected from Europe's four corners.
Once again, the 2012 OCF will take place in the charming village of Mirabel-et-Blacons, on the Drôme river (located between Lyon and Avignon, at the gates of Provence area). There will be tons of new clinics and activities proposed : outdoor cooking, art of bivouac, knots, fishing, camping gear, canoe technique and safety clinics in French and in English, local meals, concert, 30 Km river run and above all the legendary friendly atmosphere of the Open Canoe Festival.
